About Ingoldmells
When it comes to ideal locations for holidays suitable for all the family, Ingoldmells has it all. Whether young or old, Ingoldmells has something for everyone - from white knuckle rides to relaxing times.
In 1936, Billy Butlins developed the first Butlins holiday camp in Ingoldmells, a mere stones throw from what is now the site of our caravans, raising the profile of the area. With the large number of holiday makers coming to the area for Butlins, the holiday trade increase greatly in the surrounding area with many other developments, such as Fantasy Island, etc.
White knuckle rides and fun are the name of the game at Fantasy Island, with rollercoasters, vertical lift rides, log flume and many other exciting rides as well as the more sedate rides for younger children. Fantasy Island is also the site of the Eastgate Market, the largest indoor/outdoor market in the country - most stalls open every day during season.
After the fun of the fair, you can enjoy plenty of walks along the coast to Chapel St. Leonards or into Skegness, or go inland for more rural walks as you are close to the Lincolnshire Wolds. There is so much to do in and around Ingoldmells!
